Registered Psychotherapist
Clinical Practicum Therapist

I began by studying BA Honours Psychology and Philosophy at Concordia University before completing an MSc in Neuroscience at Carleton University, where my research explored developmental pathways associated with addiction in preadolescence. I then pursued clinical training, completing an MEd in Counselling Psychology at the University of New Brunswick and becoming a Registered Psychotherapist with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario. I am currently completing an MPsy in Clinical Psychology, where I am receiving advanced training in psychological assessment, diagnosis, and intervention while completing supervised clinical experience toward registration with the College of Psychologists and Behaviour Analysts of Ontario (CPBAO).

What You Can Expect from Therapy with Me

Therapy with me is active and collaborative. I value creating a space where clients can be open and curious about themselves while feeling supported and understood. Helping clients make sense of themselves and their experiences is at the heart of my work. I approach therapy with curiosity, recognizing that many of our feelings, beliefs, and coping patterns develop as understandable responses to our experiences. Together, we explore how these patterns developed, the role they have served, and whether they continue to support the life clients want to build.

My background in neuroscience continues to influence my interest in how biology and life experiences interact over time to shape who we become and how we navigate the world. I bring this perspective to an integrative approach that balances self-understanding and acceptance with practical strategies for meaningful change. I particularly enjoy working with members of the LGBTQ+ community and welcome clients across diverse identities, relationships, and life experiences.

Our work may involve exploring the patterns and experiences that shape your present, while finding new ways of responding that better align with your goals and values. I see insight as an important starting point, but meaningful change also happens through action, trying new ways of responding, building practical skills, and taking steps toward what matters most to you. I tailor therapy to your individual needs, integrating insight, practical strategies, and evidence-based approaches to support meaningful change.

Here’s what you can expect from our sessions:

  • Active and personable: I offer observations, ask questions, and use humour when appropriate.
  • Compassionate challenge: I will support you while also gently drawing attention to patterns or perspectives that may be getting in your way.
  • Open communication: I welcome feedback, explain the thinking behind what we are doing, and check in about how therapy is working for you.
  • Flexible and responsive: If something is not useful, we can change direction. Therapy should evolve alongside you.
  • Attention to progress: We will notice what is changing and working, not only what remains difficult.

My Approach: Integrative, Attachment-Informed, and Insight-Oriented

My approach is integrative, attachment-informed, and insight-oriented. I work with clients to understand how past experiences and relationships may shape current patterns, while also considering the broader factors that influence well-being, including physical health, daily routines, relationships, and environment. When appropriate, I collaborate with other healthcare professionals as part of a client’s care. I draw from evidence-based approaches to support both self-understanding and meaningful change, tailoring therapy to each client’s unique needs and goals.

Through our work together, we may:

  • Balance the present with the bigger picture: Address what needs attention now while keeping longer-term goals and values in view.
  • Turn insight into action: Develop a deeper understanding of your patterns, needs, and relationships, and use that awareness to make more intentional choices.
  • Identify barriers and build practical skills: Recognize what may be getting in the way and develop strategies to navigate challenges with greater confidence and flexibility.
  • Look at well-being holistically: Consider how sleep, movement, daily routines, relationships, rest, and other aspects of your life may be influencing your mental health and well-being.

What Makes My Approach Unique

I see each client as an individual with a distinct story and needs, and I integrate a range of evidence-based modalities to create a truly personalized therapeutic experience. My work is informed by various therapeutic techniques which allow me to help clients find balance and meaning, supporting growth across mind, body, and relationships.

By fostering a warm, empathetic therapeutic relationship, I aim to empower clients to see their journeys in a new light, building resilience, hope, and sustainable change.
