Jen Mazur, Ph.D., C.Psych., (She/Her)

I received my undergraduate honours arts degrees from the University of Manitoba. I moved to Ontario to complete a Masters degree in Clinical Psychology with a Women’s Studies specialization. From there, I travelled west and completed a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology at the University of Saskatchewan. I finished my formal educational journey at the Stan Cassidy Rehabilitation Centre and Dr. Everitt Chalmers Regional Hospital in New Brunswick, where I was assisting people with various mental and physical health conditions (e.g., brain and spinal cord injuries, heart disease, diabetes, depression, and anxiety).

MY APPROACH

One of my strengths in clinical practice is my adherence to treatments that have been demonstrated to be effective. In this regard, I have training and experience in applying multiple evidence-based approaches such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Mindfulness, Cognitive Processing Therapy and trauma and attachment informed care. In addition, I focus on your individuality and take into consideration your unique personal situation such as life experiences, coping style, and personality when meeting with you. My treatment plans incorporate my clinical skills with your individual requirements. I have worked in a variety of settings through my training and professional work, such as inpatient and day therapy programs, private counselling centres, youth forensic settings, pain clinics, and rehabilitation settings for acquired injuries.
