I hold an Honours BSc Psychology Degree from Wilfrid Laurier University and a Master of Education in Counselling Psychology from The University of Lethbridge. I have worked primarily in homeless shelters and private practice mental health settings, where I have had the privilege of working with diverse client populations and mental health concerns. I am a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO), and work in supervision with Kim Foster Yardley, M.A., C.Psych.
My work is holistic in nature – I believe that to live joyfully, one must attend to the connection between their mind, body, and soul. Therapy with me begins with establishing a safe, non-judgmental, and trusting relationship. The therapeutic relationship is a reciprocal one, you teach me about your experiences/concerns, and I tailor treatment accordingly. Depending on the client and concern, I integrate CBT, DBT, Internal Family Systems, Narrative, Person-Centered/Humanistic, Trauma-Informed, Gottman-Method, and Psychodynamic therapies. My role is to facilitate you in achieving your personal goals while also finding new ways to enhance joy and functionality in your daily life. I strive to create a non-judgemental, non-oppressive, and trauma-informed therapeutic environment, where you can be yourself.
I provide therapy to teens (13+), adults, and couples. My areas of clinical interest include:
