About Adult Individual Therapy

The first step is to contact the clinic to set up a free 15-minute phone consultation with the Clinic Coordinator. We accept self-referrals and referrals from physicians and lawyers. During your phone consultation, you will receive information about the clinic and therapist recommendations based on your needs. Individual therapy starts with an intake session where the therapist will assess symptoms and treatment needs and develop a tailored treatment plan. Common examples of therapeutic goals are: symptom reduction, increasing confidence, improving personal relationships, building workplace/academic success, understanding and changing ineffective behavioural and mental patterns, and improving overall well-being. Using evidence-based treatments, we work to help you tap into your power to achieve your goals. If we assess your needs to be outside the scope of our practice, we will work alongside you to identify best-fit referral options.
