Adult Individual Therapy in Toronto

Adult individual therapy is a personalized, one-on-one therapy to help you navigate life’s challenges, understand your emotions, and create meaningful change. At The Cohen Clinic, we provide a supportive and compassionate environment where you can explore your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors without judgment. This process is deeply collaborative, focusing on your unique goals and strengths, and empowering you to create a fulfilling and balanced life.

The first step is to contact the clinic to set up a free phone consultation with the Clinic Coordinator. We accept self-referrals and referrals from physicians and lawyers. During your phone consultation, you will receive information about the clinic and therapist recommendations based on your needs. Individual therapy starts with an intake session where the therapist will assess symptoms and treatment needs and develop a tailored treatment plan.

Common examples of therapeutic goals include:

  • Symptom reduction

  • Increasing confidence

  • Improving personal relationships

  • Building workplace/academic success

  • Understanding and changing ineffective behavioral and mental patterns

  • Improving overall well-being

Using evidence-based treatments, we work to help you tap into your power to achieve your goals. If we assess your needs to be outside the scope of our practice, we will work alongside you to identify best-fit referral options.
